Dr. Roberta Hawk is a board-certified dermatologist with licenses in Louisiana, Montana, and North Carolina. She graduated from Tulane Medical School and did her residency with the Tulane Affiliated hospitals in New Orleans. Her special interests include psoriasis (light therapy and biologics), mycosis fungoides (light therapy), skin cancer and precancerous lesions (examination, identification, biopsy, treatment, surgery and prevention), atypical moles and melanoma (total body examinations with dermoscopy), and acne (topical and oral therapy in combination with lifestyle changes).
Cosmetic dermatology (Botox, Juvederm, Voluma, Volure, Volbella, Perlane, and Kybella) is near and dear to her heart. Dr. Hawk strives to help patients achieve a natural, rested appearance. She has been treating patients with narrow band ultraviolet B (NB-UVB) and psoralen plus ultraviolet A (PUVA) light for many years. This mix of medical, surgical and elective dermatology helps Dr. Hawk be well-rounded in many facets of dermatologic practice. Emphasis on education is important. There is a need for dialogue between patients and their physicians.
For the past 20 years, she has practiced in Billings, MT as the head of Yellowstone Dermatology and Skin Cancer Clinic. Prior to that she was the head of dermatology at Stanocola Medical Center in Baton Rouge, LA. In her spare time, her hobbies include acting and directing in community theaters, reading, genealogy, piano and singing.
