Grey W. Fortenbery, MD is a plastic surgeon with specialized training in both reconstructive and aesthetic surgery. A North Carolina native, Dr. Fortenbery earned his medical degree with distinction in research from the Brody School of Medicine at East Carolina University. He also holds a Master of Physiology from NC State and a Bachelor of Arts from UNC-Chapel Hill.
Dr. Fortenbery completed his integrated plastic surgery residency training at Case Western Reserve University and the University of Kansas Medical Center. He has presented at national plastic surgery meetings and published research on breast reconstruction techniques and surgical outcomes in complex patient populations.
His clinical interests include breast reconstruction, skin cancer reconstruction, body contouring, and gender-affirming procedures.
