Dr. Kathryn Rock, MD MPH is a double board-certified surgeon in both general and plastic surgery. Dr. Rock is dedicated to providing thoughtful, personalized care with an emphasis on natural-appearing results. She combines advanced surgical expertise with a compassionate, patient-centered approach to help patients feel confident, informed, and supported throughout every stage of their care.
Dr. Rock earned her undergraduate degree in Materials Science and Engineering with a specialization in Biomaterials from The Ohio State University, where she developed a strong foundation in the science of tissue healing and medical materials. This provides a unique background in design and problem solving, which she integrates into the art of plastic surgery. She went on to receive her medical doctorate from the University of Toledo College of Medicine. Dr. Rock additionally completed a Masters of Public Health at George Washington University, while also spending time abroad providing medical care through multiple medical missions in Central and South America—an experience that reinforced her commitment to service and comprehensive patient care.
Dr. Rock completed a general surgery residency at Henry Ford St. John Hospital in Detroit, gaining extensive experience in complex surgical procedures and surgical management. She then pursued specialty training in plastic and reconstructive surgery, where she completed an advanced fellowship at the University of Miami/Jackson Memorial Hospital in Miami, FL.
Dr. Rock specializes in reconstructive and aesthetic plastic surgery, with a particular focus on skin cancer reconstruction, breast cancer reconstruction, and facial and body aesthetic procedures. She is known for her meticulous attention to detail, emphasis on safety, and ability to tailor each treatment plan to the individual goals and anatomy of her patients.
