Sonia Sebastiano is a board-certified physician assistant and comes to the Belmont area from Southern California. After graduating as valedictorian of her class at Leffingwell Christian High School, she continued her studies at Pepperdine University. Sonia obtained a Bachelor of Science degree from Pepperdine University where she studied psychobiology.
After graduation, she then attended Southern California University of Health Sciences where she was awarded a Doctor of Chiropractic degree. Lastly, she attended Western University of Health Sciences where she was awarded her Physician Assistant certificate in 2001. Sonia has worked in the specialty of general dermatology since 2010. She is certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants and is licensed by the state of North Carolina. Sonia has a passion for treating acne and performing skin cancer screenings to detect non-melanoma and melanoma skin cancer. She regularly attends dermatology conferences offered by the Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants (SDPA) to remain current with advances in her field of medicine. She enjoys playing the piano and watching her son play college baseball here in beautiful North Carolina.
